Desert Trails cont'd

This is the beginning of a story that writers can continue. Write as much or as often as you want. You must continue the story scenario from the previous writer, but you can then take it in any direction you choose. Create or kill any characters you want.

Ahead is a long straight road into a desert of ancient volcanoes, snakes, and cacti. All is quiet and still, then suddenly the blarring roar of a amped up Harley pierces the silence. It screams into view speeding by, then dissappears into a dot on the distant horizon. All of a sudden, the driver sees a long snake up ahead crossing the road. It's length completely covers the road from it's head to it's tail. The driver reacts out of instinct and swerves off the road to miss running over the snake. Once he vears off the road into the sand and rocks, he loses control of the bike and lands on his side with the bike on top of him. He manages to pull his injured leg out from underneath the bike and stumbles to his feet. He wearily pulls the bike up right and notices that both tires are flat. He mounts the bike and tries to start it. It almost turns over, then dies. Fluid gushes into the dry desert like a bleeding wound. The biker slowly pulls off his helmet and reveals a twenty something kid, JAKE. Jake: Shit, this sucks.
